Laundry charak, also known as laundry soapnuts or soapnut shells, are natural and eco-friendly alternatives to conventional laundry detergents. They are derived from the dried shells of the soapnut fruit (Sapindus spp.), which contain saponins, natural surfactants that have cleansing properties.

Preparation: To use laundry charak, place a handful of soapnut shells in a muslin bag or tie them in a clean cloth. This will prevent the shells from disintegrating during the wash cycle.
